Francesco Totti has confirmed that Sunday’s fixture against Genoa will be his last in a Roma shirt.
Here, Press Association Sport takes a look at the remarkable numbers from the 40-year-old’s long career at the Stadio Olimpico.

– Roma’s all-time appearances record holder. He is 225 games ahead of team-mate Daniele De Rossi in the charts and 618 of his outings have come in Serie A, where he is one behind Gianluigi Buffon and 29 behind Paolo Maldini in the appearances table.

– Roma’s all-time leading goalscorer. Totti is 169 ahead of Roberto Pruzzo, on 138 goals. Totti won the Golden Boot once, in the 2006-07 season, when he hit 26 goals.

– Most goals for a single club in Serie A. Totti is second in the all-time leading goalscorers’ table, 24 behind Silvio Piola. That is also four more than the current Roma squad’s combined tally.

The seasons Roma have finished second with Totti on board were 2001-02, 2003-04, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2009-10, 2013-14 and 2014-15. They finished one place behind Inter Milan on four separate occasions while Juventus (three) and AC Milan have also beaten him to the Scudetto.

– International trophies he has won with Italy. He won the European Under-21 Championship in 1996, the Mediterranean Games (under-23) in 1997 and the World Cup in 2006. He scored the controversial stoppage-time penalty against Australia on the road to glory in Germany.

– Serie A titles Totti won with Roma. His sole Scudetto came in the 2000-01 season where the Italian striker scored 13 goals as he helped his side win the league by two points from Juve.
