Harry Kane capped another prolific season with a second hat-trick in four days to secure the golden boot for the second successive season as Tottenham demolished relegated Hull 7-1.
The England striker fired four in Tottenham’s 6-1 thrashing of fallen champions Leicester on Thursday to overtake Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in the Premier League scoring charts and struck three more to take his tally to 29 for the season as Hull were torn apart.
Kane scored twice in the first half and completed his hat-trick midway through the second period, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side celebrating their best top-flight finish since 1963 in fine style.

Star man – Harry Kane

The England striker entered the final game two goals ahead of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot and within 13 minutes had added two more. Tottenham carved Hull apart whenever it took their fancy and Kane completed his second hat-trick in four days midway through the second half.
Moment of the match

It seemed inevitable when Kane struck his third goal in the 72nd minute to take his Premier League goals tally for the season to 29. He took Alli’s pass into the penalty area in his stride and showed admirable composure to arrow a low shot into the bottom corner.

Tottenham were naturally in good voice throughout as their travelling army celebrated their side’s best top-flight finish in 54 years. But Hull, relegated last week after their defeat at Crystal Palace, were backed right to the end – and beyond – by a good number of their fans. Tigers supporters made it clear throughout the game they want head coach Marco Silva to remain at the club and showed great loyalty to both him and the players at the end despite witnessing their heaviest defeat of the season.
