How are other Premier League teams' European hopes affected if Manchester United win the Europa League?
Beyond an overdue European trophy, victory in the 2017 Europa League Final in Stockholm will also secure Manchester United a prized spot in next season's Champions League group stage draw.
But would a win over Ajax in the Swedish capital's Friends Arena help, hinder or have any affect at all on their Premier League rivals?
The answer depends on how United finish the domestic season.
If Jose Mourinho's men, who at worst will finish sixth, miss out on a top four spot the Premier League will see five teams qualify for the Champions League.
The fourth-placed team - and not United - will need to navigate the play-offs to reach the group stages.
However, if the Red Devils can sneak into the Premier League's top four only three other English clubs will join them in Europe's premier competition.
It will not generate another place for the fifth-placed team.
United's Premier League finish will also determine how many English teams will succeed them in fighting Europa League campaigns in 2017-18.
As the maximum number of English teams in Uefa competitions is seven, if United become the fifth team to qualify for the Champions League only two spots will be available for the Europa League.
But should United claim a top four spot, the three teams finishing fifth to seventh would all qualify for Europe's second-tier competition.
One extra point to note: United have Real Madrid and Juventus to thank for earning the Europa League winners a fast-track into the 2017-18 European elite.
The group stage place for the Europa League is initially reserved for the Champions League winners, should they fail to qualify through their domestic league.
But the Spanish and Italian giants would both qualify on the basis of their league finish, propelling 2017's Europa winners from the play-offs and into the group stage proper.
