Leicester captain Wes Morgan out of Watford clash with ongoing hamstring injury

Leicester captain Wes Morgan remains out for the Foxes as he continues to battle a hamstring problem.
The defender has suffered an injury-hit end to the season and is definitely sidelined for Saturday’s Premier League visit of Watford.
Morgan initially missed six games with a back injury and returned for Leicester’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid last month.
But he limped off with a hamstring issue in the 1-1 draw – which sent Leicester out 2-1 on aggregate – and will not face the Hornets at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
“He’s definitely not going to make it. There are no red herrings on this one,” said boss Craig Shakespeare. “He’s progressed but slowly and hasn’t joined in with the squad yet, in terms of a full training session. He’ll be training fully with us next week and be in contention for Manchester City. He could still play again this season.”
Nampalys Mendy will also be absent following his ankle operation last month with Leicester having reached the recognised safety mark of 40 points following last week’s 1-0 win at West Brom.
Victory at The Hawthorns ended a run of five games without a victory and Shakespeare – who has won seven of his 12 matches since taking charge in February – wants a successful run-in with four outings left.
“I am a big believer in momentum and the players have to be determined – and they have been,” he said, with Leicester 11th in the table.
“We have three home games left, our fans have been excellent and have been really behind the players. We would like to finish on a high and that will be the message. The most important thing is to try and finish as high as possible. The most important game is Watford, after that it’ll be Manchester City, then Tottenham and then Bournemouth.”
