Fernando Llorente crowned Swansea’s fine finish to the Premier League season as his late strike overcame West Brom.
Llorente’s 15th goal of the campaign – 11 of which have come at the Liberty Stadium – saw Swansea complete a second-half recovery to win 2-1 after Jonny Evans had headed West Brom into a 33rd-minute lead.
Jordan Ayew equalised with his first Swansea goal before Llorente swept home substitute Luciano Narsingh’s cross four minutes from time.

What a huge impact the Spain striker has had on Swansea’s season. Set up Ayew for his first Swansea strike and then claimed his 15th goal of the season four minutes from time to make it 29 points from Paul Clement’s 19 games in charge. A very decent return.
View from the bench

Clement had said before the final game of the season that Swansea do not need a major overhaul of players after their recovery under him. A couple of quality additions and keeping Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson will be his ambition this summer if Swansea are to avoid another relegation battle next season. West Brom boss Tony Pulis will be disappointed with the way the Baggies faded in recent weeks, their late capitulation symptomatic of recent displays which dropped Albion to 10th in the final table.

Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski was prevented from becoming a Premier League ever-present this season as the Poland goalkeeper was given the day off. Kristoffer Nordfeldt came in for his first appearance since the final day of last season but the Sweden international did not cover himself in glory when he failed to collect Darren Fletcher’s corner and Evans headed home.
